Faith That Stays

I used to think faith was something you felt.

Certain.
Clear.
Unshakeable.

But lately, I’ve been noticing something different.

Sometimes faith doesn’t feel powerful at all.

Sometimes it feels like showing up anyway.

Like waking up on an ordinary Tuesday and choosing trust before you even feel it.

Like whispering a prayer when your heart is tired.

Like believing that something is growing beneath the surface — even when you can’t see it yet.

There are seasons when faith feels loud and bright.

And there are seasons when it feels quiet.

Soft.

Steady.

But quiet faith is not weak faith.

It’s the kind that remains.

The kind that stays when there are no dramatic answers.

The kind that trusts the tide is still moving — even when the water looks still.

Maybe faith doesn’t always need to roar.

Maybe sometimes it just needs to remain.

And maybe that is enough.

“For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength…”
— Isaiah 30:15 (KJV)
