In the Quiet, He Is Still Near

Some seasons of life are loud.

They are filled with decisions, movement, and change. We feel as though we are constantly doing something—moving forward, solving problems, chasing what comes next.

But other seasons arrive more quietly.

They are slower. Still. Sometimes even uncertain.

In those moments, it can feel like nothing is happening at all.

We wait.
We wonder.
We ask God to show us the next step.

Yet scripture reminds us that faith does not always grow in the noise of life.

Often, it grows in the quiet.

“For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength…”
— Isaiah 30:15 (KJV)

Quiet seasons are not empty seasons.

They are often the places where God gently reshapes our hearts, teaching us patience, trust, and the quiet confidence that He is already working in ways we cannot yet see.

Just as the tide slowly reshapes the shore, His work in our lives often happens gradually—steady, patient, and purposeful.

And one day we look back and realize that the waiting itself was never wasted.

Because even in the quiet…

He was still near.
