Bootcamp Birthday Poem
From the time you were little,
I knew you would be
a force to be reckoned with —
with a little added “me.”
You were driven from the start.
I could see it each day.
Growing, and growing,
into the man you’ve become today.
You never cease to amaze me
with everything you do —
from the smallest of efforts
to the biggest goals you pursue.
You continue to put a smile on my face
with each waking day.
Each time I see that smile,
everything in my life melts away.
You are super important to me
in ways you’ll never fully understand.
It brings tears to my eyes
to see you become this new version of you —
called “a man.”
You’re becoming a soldier.
You’ll make us all proud.
You have all the leadership qualities —
you will stand out in the crowd.
Continue to be you,
because you have so much to give
to everyone around you.
Just wait — you’ll see —
there’s no comparative.
